What a website costs in Aberdeen.
Three project scopes with the price on each, so you can work out what this costs before speaking to anyone. Which one fits depends on what the site has to do.
Three scopes, three prices.
Not tiers where the cheapest is deliberately hobbled. Each one is a professional site — what changes is how much ground it has to cover and how much the site has to do.
Starter Website
£995one-off
For a local business that mainly needs to be found, understood and contacted.
One clear offer, presented properly. Everything below is included — this is a professional site, not a stripped-back one.
Suits a single-service business, or one where the work is broadly the same job for every customer.
Growth Website
£1,995one-off
For a business with several distinct services, each worth its own route through the site.
More ground to cover, and more work on the paths people take before they enquire — so somebody after one specific thing is not left reading about everything else.
Suits a business whose customers arrive wanting different things and should not all land in the same place.
Premium Website
£2,995one-off
For a project with more depth to it: more functionality, or customer journeys that need real thought.
Where the site has to do a job beyond explaining and capturing — a quote journey behind the form, or a more involved path from interested to booked.
Suits a business where the website is doing operational work, not just presenting the offer.
Larger projects — an online shop with a big catalogue, or a build with unusual functionality behind it — are quoted on their own terms. If you sell products, start with ecommerce web design instead.
What you get whichever scope you pick.
The difference between the three is scale, not quality. None of the following is an upgrade.
- Built for a phone first, because that is where most local searches happen.
- Clear routes through the site, so each service has a path a visitor can follow.
- Lean pages, properly sized images and the technical groundwork search engines need.
- An enquiry form that asks the two or three questions actually worth asking.
What we build and who it suits is covered properly on web design in Aberdeen. This page is only about what it costs.
What pushes a project up a scope.
Usually one of four things. None of them is about how big your business is — it is about how much the website has to do.
- How many distinct services need their own route, rather than sharing one page.
- Whether you are selling products, which is a different build with a basket and checkout behind it.
- Whether there is a quote or enquiry journey behind the form rather than a single message box.
- How much of the content and photography already exists, and how much has to be created.
You do not have to work this out yourself. We agree the scope before anything starts, so the price you are given is the price for the thing you are actually getting — see the enquiry and quote systems page if the form itself is the part doing the heavy lifting.
Once the site is live, you can look after it or we can.
The website is yours. You pay for it once and you own it, and none of the plans below is a condition of keeping it. They are for businesses who would rather not be the person responsible when something needs updating, checking or fixing.
Website Care
£49a month
For keeping the site healthy, online and working, without you having to think about it.
Hosting and the technical side where we look after it, uptime checks, making sure the enquiry form and the ways people reach you still work, security and dependency updates, backups, minor bug fixes and the occasional small text or image change. Support if something stops working.
Maintenance, not development. New pages, redesigns and new functionality are quoted separately.
Website Growth
£149a month
For a site you want actively improved rather than simply kept running.
Everything appropriate from Care, plus regular improvement work: reviewing what analytics and Search Console say about how the site is performing, improving the calls to action and the enquiry flow, refining pages and content, reasonable ongoing text and image changes, and recommendations based on what the numbers are actually doing.
Improving the website you have. Not a search ranking campaign.
Website Partner
£299a month
For businesses that want the website managed as an ongoing source of enquiries, not just kept up to date.
Everything appropriate from Growth, with substantially more hands-on work: more substantial landing page improvements, new sections or smaller new pages where they are justified, ongoing conversion work, changes to the enquiry journey, deeper analytics and performance review, proactive testing and priority support.
The most hands-on option, and still not an SEO retainer.
The first month of Website Care is included after launch. After that you can carry on with Care at £49 a month, move up to Growth or Partner, or take the site over yourself. Whichever you choose, the website stays yours.
None of these is unlimited website work, and £49 in particular is not. Care keeps the site healthy and handles small changes. Growth and Partner buy progressively more hands-on improvement. A redesign, a new section of the site or substantial new functionality is quoted as its own project on any plan. What there is not, on any of them, is a monthly allowance of edits, hours or pages: we work on what genuinely needs attention within the scope of the plan you are on.
Website aftercare and SEO are different jobs.
They are easy to confuse because both are monthly. One works on the website. The other works on whether anyone finds it.
The site itself
Keeping it healthy and online, improving how it reads and how many visitors go on to enquire, updating content, fixing what breaks, and improving the journey from interested to in touch.
The plans above, from £49 a month.
Being found in the first place
Appearing more often in Google and the map results: going after the searches worth having, your Google Business Profile, keeping your business listings right, building authority, and pages for the services and places you want to be found for.
A different service, priced separately. See SEO pricing.
If what you actually want is to be found more often, the aftercare plans are not the thing to buy. Say so and we will point you at the right one, even if it is the cheaper one.
What people ask about the price.
Why three prices rather than quoting everything individually?
Because most website projects genuinely do fall into one of three shapes, and being told "it depends" when you are trying to work out whether you can afford this is not much use. The three cover the great majority of what local businesses need. If yours sits outside them we will say so and price it properly rather than squeeze it into a box.
Is the price fixed, or does it move once you start?
It is fixed for the scope we agree. We work out what the site actually needs to do before anything starts, then the price for that scope is the price. If you later decide you want something that was not in the agreed scope, we tell you what it costs before doing it rather than adding it to an invoice at the end.
What if my project does not fit any of the three?
Some do not. An online shop with a large catalogue, or a build with unusual functionality behind it, is quoted on its own terms. Tell us what you are trying to do and we will either point you at the scope that fits or price the thing you actually need.
Does the price include SEO?
No, and it is worth being clear about that. Every site is built with the structure and technical groundwork search engines need, which is not the same as an ongoing effort to rank for particular searches. That is a separate piece of work with its own pricing.
Do I have to take an aftercare plan?
No. The build is a purchase, so the website is yours whether you take a plan or not. The first month of Website Care is included after launch, and after that you can carry on, move up, or take the site over yourself. Plenty of businesses look after their own site perfectly well. The plans exist for the ones who would rather not.
What is the difference between Website Growth and the SEO plans?
Growth improves the website: how it reads, how it converts, how easy it is to enquire, and what the content says. It may look at analytics and Search Console to work out what needs attention. The SEO plans do a different job, which is getting you found in the first place: search targeting, your Google Business Profile, business listings and authority. Improving a page nobody can find will not fix a visibility problem, and ranking a page that does not convert will not fix an enquiry problem.
Not sure which one you need?
Tell us what the site has to do and we will tell you which scope fits — including if that is the cheapest one. We would rather agree the right scope up front than have the price move later.

What you sell, who you sell it to, and what the current site does or does not do. That is enough for us to tell you which scope fits and what it would cost.
